I liked the acronym that was on another thread W.A.R.N. (Watchtower Abuse Recovery network)
I too think that was an excellent suggestion.
okay we've all beat our chest, lamented and throttled the dead horse of aawa.. time to move on!.
i suggest those of us on j-w.n who care about creating something the right way take the trouble to get the framework going.. let's do the grunt work and get the nattering, debates, naming and organizing already pre-approved so that "others" who have the talent, ability, motivation and resources can move in and turn the key!.
because it was not done before.. there is more wisdom on this discussion board in our vast numbers than there could possibly be in a virtual boardroom with 8 people brain-storming.. that isn't an insult--it is just a statistical fact!.

in light of whats been going on in the last few days it got me to thinking about what is it that drives us to want to be a part of something and yet reject other things.. for instance for me i highly value words such as truth, facts, honor, integrity, liberation and find that i'm attracted to endeavors which pursue these things.. so for me personally, jwfacts.com was a website i felt drawn to because it appealed just in name only at first, but then the more i read the better i liked it.. but the first thing had to be the name to get me drawn in to investigate.. next i thought of randy's site that i like called freeminds.org.
just the name sounded so liberating,so refreshing from all the control that i experienced as a jw.. also i got to browsing my bookmark page and realized that the vast majority of my bookmarks were mainly sites that dealt with facts such as nasa.gov, various news websites and history etc.. then i started wondering about why there are some websites others liked but i wasn't that impressed with them.. what did they see that was interesting to them or of value in their eyes?.
what draws you to a company/corporation, or a cause or what is it that makes you want to either get involved with something or pass?.
When exiting I was very nervous. Ex-jw reunited was the most non-confrontational. It is a very gentle site and where I found most of my ex jw friends. It is less about analysing JW doctrine and falsehoods etc and much more about feelings, coping and support.

Fantastic! Thank you for all your hard work.
I particularly liked this quote ‘False prophets do not correct themselves’.
I would ask Why would a "true prophet" need to? They also say "Correct themselves" so would that NOT be a god directed correction when they need to "clarify" doctrines then?
I will be reading it again when I have more time tomorrow.
Thanks again. Greatly appreciatd

is it me or has that long hair been digitally lengthened?
the longer portion of his hair doesn't even blend with the hair closest to his roots.
Are all the reflectors on the bikes regardless of the position glinting in the sunlight? Surely that much sun would produce shadows, somewhere and what is that blue square in the top right of the picture?
i am an inactive jw.
i havent been on this forum for a few months and have been lurking in others.
i have met a few people in real life and online, both on this forum and on others.

I have.
a controversial essay is part of aussie news today.. the essence of it is that the state needs to kill about 20% of the poorest in the community, to fix its financial problems.
it is, of course, claimed to be 'tongue-in-cheek,' but is there a sound basis to the concept?
i sound very right-wing in saying that, but i live opposite a boarding house that is full of people who, i guess, would be prime candidates for the cull.
Fastest growing industry in UK is food banks.

Since being poor is not yet a crime why not start with culling 20% of the prison population.

Fantastic job guys!
i feel the need to rant so bear with me.. i've seen posts and blogs where a scripture is used to show how wicked the wbt$ are.. well, i believe the wbt$ is a vile cult with disgusting individuals as it's leaders.. one thing i learned from the wbt$ is that a scripture can be used to prove almost anything!.
when i read posts where a scripture is sited and directed against the wbt$ i'm not impressed.
not because i'd ever defend the paedophile loving filth in brooklyn but because it's just words and personal interpretation from a collection of fables, myths and fairy tales.. even when i was a christian i still thought that you could make anything fit scripture......and if you have a bee in your bonnet you can use the bible in the propagandist way eg.
When I first started my exit I still believed The Bible but started seeing scriptures that seemed to apply to the WTBT$ after I started to view them as corrupt.
After doing this for a while I became aware that scriptures could nearly always be applied in a way that fit a predetermined view point.
If helping some-one exit meant using the bible to identify the society as an evil master I would.
